About Northeastern Martial Arts...

NEMA has been providing martial arts training in the Rochester area since 1979.  In April 1994, we relocated our school to Chili Center in the Chili-Paul Plaza.  Our professional 3,800 square foot facility includes two dojos or training areas including a matted area for the grappling oriented programs (i.e. Jujitsu, Aiki Jujitsu, Katame Waza, and QDT).  The facility also includes heavy bags, mirrors, a kickboxing training facility, and other equipment necessary for the successful practice of the martial arts.

Our objective is to help students develop wholeness of mind and body.  At all ages, our programs are designed to assist each individual in developing mentally and physically.  Through the study of the martial arts at NEMA, students will increase their self-esteem, self-discipline, focus or ability to concentrate, motivation in life, leadership skills and the ability to set goals.  Physically speaking, students of all ages will improve their physical well-being through greater flexibility and strength, increase energy and toning, improve balance and breathing, as well as greater mobility.
